Here at Blue Collar, our Maintenance Specialists are the core of our company. You will be responsible for working together with a team to manage multiple maintenance projects from start to finish. This could mean anything from hanging a new set of blinds to removing an old light fixture, patching and painting the damaged drywall, and installing a new fixture. While you will no-doubt spend a large part of your time working on maintenance related activities, what sets us apart from the rest of the industry is our extreme devotion to delighting our clients every chance that we get.

This position will be fast paced, it will push you to stretch yourself both professionally and personally, and it will offer you every opportunity to make critical decisions that will shape the future of our company. No pressure!

Experience playing team sports or working on a high performance team is a  plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $18/hr + depending on experience - Rapid advancement opportunities

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and correct all repairs associated with a specific work order, including routine and/or emergency repairs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot calls with residents in a calm, professional, and empathetic manner
  • Must have experience with basic plumbing and electrical (repairing sinks and/or replacing light fixtures)
  • Must have experience with small drywall patching and painting
  • Serious attention to detail and pride in work required
  • Must maintain professional image
  • Able to load and unload trucks
  • Drive trucks to job sites
  • Operate hand and power tools
  • Communicate effectively with residents
  • Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and office personnel as needed.
  • Being extremely responsive and attentive
  • Successfully multi-tasking throughout the day, wearing multiple hats
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, quick thinking environment

Position Qualifications/Requirements

  • Being open to travel is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Highly motivated, energetic individual with a positive attitude
  • Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills
  • Able to make decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and perform duties utilizing excellent time management
  • Must be able to effectively manage your calendar to maximize the day’s to-dos
  • Must be able to navigate mobile technology effectively (iPad/iPhone)

Education/Training/Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years of maintenance experience, Team experience a HUGE plus
